Friday 1st May 2020

I've worked on my Holiday Brochure everyday this week and this morning I finished it.  I completed my final pages on Entertainment, shopping and food.

Here is my finished brochure:

STAR HOLIDAY BROCHURE TO NEW YORK

I then did the Friday Maths Challenge.  Some of these questions were hard but I gave them a good go!  I did finish the final lesson of the week on Oak National Academy.  Today we put everything we had learned on translations and reflections together.  The independent task was good and I got all of the coordinates correct.

I then watched the assembly, which was all about HOPE, and this was good but it made me upset.  It did make me realise how much I was missing friends and family.  I remembered how my Grandad Wales had HOPE when he went on his TREK OF HOPE to the Himalayas.  I decided to draw a picture with the things that give me hope.  Here it is:

I was looking forward to English because I knew I would be writing a character description.  I followed the Oak National lesson and looked at the success criteria so I knew what I had to include.  I tried my best to show my character's features, appearance rather than just telling what she looked like.  I planned out some key phrases and words and set out my structure.  I am pleased with the result:

  1. Love the picture Seren. Hopefully it won't be long now before you see all your friends again.
