I then did some work with my mum on verb tenses. We look at a presentation and then some songs from Youtube. I've got a sheet which helps and I am going to try and learn these. Mum said she will test me on them! Dad said this is hard because he only did perfect and progressive tenses when he did A Level French!
I then did the English and Maths Oak National lessons. In English the new topic is Newspaper reports. I read an example about Alain Robert who was called the 'French Spiderman'. He climbed the Pretonas Towers in Kuala Lumpar. My mum showed me a video of this and she had sweaty palms! It looked very scary. Once I had read the report I answered the comprehension questions.
In Maths, I looked at diagonals in quadrilaterals and completed the tasks.
I then did the Geograohy lesson which I found very boring about energy.
I then started some work set by school about creating an advert. I started by looking at what advertising is and how important it is. Businesses will advertise their products to tell people about them and to persuade them to buy them.
I looked at several adverts. My favourite advert is the John West Salmon advert! I looked closely at 3 adverts for Snickers. They all had the same slogan 'You're not you when you're hungry' and they all had a similar story. Men start behaving differently when they're hungry so they eat a snickers bar and go back to normal. I liked the Joan Collins one best when she is in a men's changing room arguing with the footballer.
I then looked at a range of Cadbury's adverts. These all had the same slogans 'A glass and a half of joy'. All the characters in the adverts wore something purple which is the same colour as the cadbury's brand and the packaging. The adverts all used the hashtag feelthejoy. I liked the advert with a man working in a boring office. It was dull and grey. Then he had a piece of Dairy Milk and he started moving in his chair and miming to the song. He then gave a piece of the chocolate to another person in the advert to spread the joy.
I then designed my own chocolate bar. I am going for a heavenly theme. My chocolate bar will be sky blue and the bar is shaped like a cloud. There is a halo as part of the logo and the end of the wrapper will look like wings like an angel. Here is my work:
I have also planned and then made a TV advert for my new Divine Bar. I added music to match the product and it fits with the theme of heaven, halo, wings, divine etc. Here's my advert. I hope you like it!
Brilliant advert Seren ! I feel like eating some chocolate now but after watching your egg experiment
ReplyDeleteI've decided against it.
